At least one child has been killed by an explosion in Siirt, south east Turkey. The cause of the blast is not immediately clear but local media said a mine had detonated. Broadcaster NTV said the child who died was eight-years-old. The outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has waged an armed campaign for an ethnic homeland in south east Turkey since 1984. Full Story
