Three prominent political figures were arrested Sunday in Bangladesh as they appeared before an anti-corruption commission to explain how they amassed wealth far in excess of income, police said. The three, including former aviation minister Mosharraf Hossain, were arrested as they sought to meet a Sunday deadline set by the commission last week to explain their wealth or face confiscation of assets, Wing Commander Nurani of the Rapid Action Battalion, a security force comprised of police and military, said.
