Some 46 students and teachers of an Islamic school have been detained in connection with a failed suicide bombing attack in eastern Pakistan, police said Sunday. Three would-be suicide bombers on bicycles were killed Saturday when a speed bump set off explosives they were carrying to attack a prayer gathering in Chechawatni town, 100 kilometres (60 miles) from Multan. “Police have arrested the 40 students and six teachers of madrassa Aziz-ul-Aloom in Chechawatni,” police official Chaudhry Bashir said.
