A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 shook portions of downtown San Francisco and nearby Berkeley on Friday, but there were no immediate reports of injury or damage. The quake struck at 3:46 p.m. (1146 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey reported on its Web site. It was centered 2 miles (3 km) east-southeast of Berkeley at a depth of 7 miles (11 km). Full Story
