The European Union is not yet ready to resume aid to the Palestinian government despite the unity accord signed last week in Mecca, EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner has said. “When it becomes possible to re-engage with a national unity government, and we are not there yet, we could gradually resume support to Palestinian Authority ministries and agencies,” Ferrero-Waldner said ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels.
