Anger at Kabul’s warlord amnesty

HUMAN rights groups in Afghanistan expressed outrage yesterday after warlords in the parliament granted an amnesty to all those involved in the past 25 years of conflict, including Taliban leader Mullah Omar. The law was passed by the Wolesi Jirga, the Afghan lower house, despite the bounty of $13million on Mullah Omar and the human rights violations committed while the Taliban were in power. Full Story
