A man was killed and eight people wounded when a bomb on a motorcycle exploded in a crowded market in India’s troubled northeastern state of Assam on Saturday, police said. They said suspected rebels belonging to the separatist United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) were behind the explosion in Tinsukia town, about 600 km (370 miles) east of the state’s main city, Guwahati.
