Police arrested two suspected Muslim militants in New Delhi with explosives as part of efforts to keep the capital safe ahead of India’s Republic Day on Jan. 26, a senior police officer said on Wednesday. “We have recovered 1.6 kg (3.5 lb) of explosives, detonators, timers and have also got 4.5 lakh rupees (450,000 rupees or $1,021) from them,” Alok Kumar of New Delhi police’s anti-terrorist cell told Reuters.
