Two British troops died, one in southern Afghanistan and another in Basra, southern Iraq, the defence ministry said. A marine was killed during a mission to clear Taliban positions and firing points in Kajaki, in Afghanistan’s Helmand province, while a soldier died in Basra. The deaths bring to 128 the number of British troops killed in Iraq since the 2003 invasion and to 45 the number killed in Afghanistan since 2001. Full Story
