COMMUNIST rebels raided a northern Philippine police precinct early Thursday and seized four assault rifles and a grenade launcher, police said. About 40 to 60 New People’s Army (NPA) guerrillas quickly overran the isolated precinct in Maria Aurora town in Aurora province because two of the four officers assigned to the station had gone out and the two others were asleep during the pre-dawn raid, provincial police chief Teodoro Saclolo told radio station dzRH in Manila.
