The Congolese army has demanded the surrender by Saturday of the last active militia in Democratic Republic of Congo’s restless northeastern Ituri region, officials said. “Peter Karim and his men have until Saturday to observe a ceasefire and rejoin the integration process within the national army,” deputy integration minister Bernard Mena told Radio Opaki Friday.
