The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) has ordered the New People’s Army to form a special unit to “retaliate” against government and security officials allegedly responsible for political killings and other human rights violations. At the same time, the CPP also called for “the recruitment of tens of thousands of new members” and for the NPA to “accelerate the waging of guerrilla warfare” and launch “coordinated offensives in their respective areas of responsibility.” Full Story
