Alarmed by Lashkar-e-Taiba’s attempts to set up bases in Manipur, India will ask Myanmar to crack down on camps which have became a common training ground for Pakistan-based terror outfits, as well as north-east insurgent groups. The issue is likely to come up during a meeting here between home minister Shivraj Patil and his Myanmarese counterpart, Major General Maung Oo, on Thursday. Although India had made similar requests earlier, the arrest of three Manipur-based LeT terrorists by Delhi Police on Tuesday has injected a sense of urgency in engaging Myanmar and convincing it to crack down on training camps.
