The Oct. 9 nuclear test by North Korea has brought China and the United States closer together in their efforts to halt Pyongyang’s nuclear weapons program, the top Washington negotiator at disarmament talks here said Tuesday. The negotiator, Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill, said China had been energetic in pushing for the United Nations Security Council resolution that imposed sanctions on North Korea after the test.
