UN relocates 71 staff in Darfur after armed attacks on NGO compounds
The United Nations said it had temporarily relocated 71 aid workers at a town in South Darfur following an attack by armed groups on their compounds during the night. Approximately 20 armed men attacked several NGO compounds in the town of Gereida, entering the premises, harassing the staff and stealing vehicles, communication equipment and money, a UN statement said.
