A former anti-government tribal chief was killed and six other men were wounded Tuesday in a land mine explosion in southwestern Pakistan, police said. Tribal chief Bangan Khan and the six men were in a pickup truck that hit the mine on a dirt road in Dasht-e-Goran, a mountainous tribal region southeast of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan, police officer Mohammed Anwar Niazi said.
