Syria and Iraq signed on to a plan Monday to cooperate in combating terrorism and crime, the official SUNA Syrian news agency said. The memorandum of understanding sets the ground for cooperation on “developing border monitoring systems and exchanging information on organized crime, economic crimes, drug trafficking, forgery, stealing and smuggling cars,” SUNA said.
