Anti-Terrorism Briefing Addresses Homegrown Threats
How would a homegrown terrorist get to New York City to carry out an attack? Law enforcement agents from across the region gathered at police headquarters Wednesday for briefings on potential threats from terrorists, and how they might be detected before it is too late. NY1’s Criminal Justice reporter Solana Pyne filed the following report. The men who carried out London’s deadly mass transit bombing last year were born in Britain. They planned their attacks in Leeds and then made their way south to the capital.
