Thai Interior Minister Aree Wong-araya on Tuesday conceded that insurgent violence may occur during the New Year holidays, but affirmed he had ordered the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) to adopt additional security measures to prevent possible insurgent attacks.
