Egypt: Homegrown Jihadis Involved In Iraq Attack, Reports
A number of young Egyptian Jihadis fighting in Iraq took part in a September attack in the insurgent stronghold of Ramadi in which American troops died, according to the pan-Arab daily Al-Sharq al-Awsat. The paper cites the findings of an ongoing investigation by Egyptian security forces being carried out in Marsa Matrouh – a tourist location some 400 kilometres northwest of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, where the homegrown Jihadis are from.
