Police in Ivory Coast shot one protester dead when breaking up demonstrations on Tuesday by opponents of President Laurent Gbagbo who accuse him of blocking the work of the prime minister, witnesses told Reuters. Dozens of protesters took to the streets in the eastern town of Agnibilekrou where the demonstrator was killed. They torched the local police station in revenge, prompting on-duty officers to seek refuge at the home of a traditional chief. Full Story
