Thirteen policemen killed in India Maoist attack
At least 13 policemen were killed and 11 seriously injured after suspected Maoist guerrillas set off a landmine in eastern India on Saturday, police said. A 22-member police force was on a routine patrol in Jharkhand state when the powerful blast occurred on a dirt road off a dense forest, M.S. Bhatia, a senior state police officer, told Reuters. “We have rushed 11 with serious injuries to a hospital, but we have lost 13 of our men,” Bhatia said by telephone. Full Story
