United Nations soldiers regained control from dissident Congolese troops of the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo town of Sake, a military spokesman for the UN mission (MONUC) said. “MONUC is in control of Sake town,” said Major Ajay Dalal, the spokesman in Goma, the chief town of Nord-Kivu province located 27 kilometres (17 miles) to the southeast of Sake, which was attacked at the weekend.
