A banned Indian Islamic students’ group was behind a deadly attack on a mosque in western India two months ago that killed 31 people and wounded more than 100 on a Muslim festival day, a police official said Monday. Eight suspects arrested for allegedly planting bombs in the textile city of Malegaon in Maharashtra state were all members of the Students’ Islamic Movement of India, or SIMI, said P.S.
