The Christian Democrat party of Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende took the lead in Dutch elections, winning 41 of the 150 seats in parliament, according to partial results released today by the Dutch Electoral Council. The Labour party remained the second largest party in the Dutch parliament with 33 seats, according to the results, which were based on 11 per cent of the votes counted. Full Story
