Philippine Army soldiers were deployed to Cebu City’s mountain barangays as part of the security preparations for the upcoming 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Summit) in December. Supt. Mariano Natuel Jr., deputy chief of the Security Service Group (SSG) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), said the soldiers have put up two detachments to prevent rebels and terrorists from entering Metro Cebu.
