Suspected Islamic militants shot dead three people in separate drive-by shootings, while one soldier was hurt in a bomb attack in Thailand’s restive south, police said. A 33-year-old Buddhist school teacher was gunned down when she drove a motorcycle on Wednesday in Yala, one of three Muslim-majority southern provinces bordering Malaysia. Earlier in the day, a 36-year-old Muslim man was also killed in Yala while riding a motorcycle with his five-year-old daughter. The girl was injured when the motorcycle fell over, police added.
