MEMBERS of the Iraq Study Group spent 90 minutes with President George W. Bush yesterday discussing how to rescue the US’s mission in Baghdad, with Mr Bush declaring afterwards he was open to “interesting ideas”. But the first cracks in the united front between Tony Blair and Mr Bush appeared yesterday, as the British Prime Minister’s offer to bring Iran and Syria in from the cold for talks on the disintegrating situation in Iraq was rejected by the US President.
