Thailand’s military-installed Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont has said lifting martial law was “not urgent” and that his cabinet had not discussed the issue at its weekly meeting. Surayud told reporters the cabinet was waiting for the ruling junta to make its recommendation on ending martial law, which was imposed shortly after the September 19 coup. Full Story
