Kuwait’s appeals court has upheld the death penalty against four suspected Al-Qaeda militants involved in bloody gunbattles with police last year and commuted two other death sentences. Two Kuwaitis and two bidoon, or stateless residents, had their death sentences upheld by the court, which also confirmed the acquittal of seven of the group. Full Story
