Rebels claim to capture 2nd African town

Rebel fighters in the Central African Republic claimed they have captured a northern town Friday, the second to fall to shadowy insurgents in less than two weeks. Rebel spokesman Abakar Saboune said rebels seized Ouadda-Djalle before dawn “after a fierce battle with the regular army.” Saboune gave no casualty figures. Government and military officials could not be reached for comment and there was no independent confirmation of the claim. Full Story
