The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague is set to rule on a defence request to suspend a pre-trial hearing into the case of alleged Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga. The ruling in the case of Lubanga, the first and only suspect in ICC custody, is expected at 1500 GMT Friday. The announcement was made by Claude Jorda, the judge presiding over the hearing which will determine whether, Lubanga — accused of forcibly recruiting child soldiers — will eventually stand trial before the court.
