The interim government will advance ”far-reaching and drastic reforms” to re-establish the rule of law and crush corruption which has become a ”national disease”, Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont said last night. In a keynote speech to the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand, he said the rapid deterioration of the rule of law over the past five years had been the ”most serious of challenges” facing the government.
