Three separatist guerrillas from the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) were killed in a gun battle with police in India’s troubled northeastern state of Assam on Friday, police said. Acting on a tip off, police surrounded a village early on Friday where a group of heavily armed rebels were hiding. Three militants died in the fighting and two escaped, police said. Full Story
