A delegation of Somali lawmakers broke ranks with the government and traveled to the capital Sunday to hold peace talks with the country’s Islamic militia, the latest sign of cracks in the fragile administration. The 25-member delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Aden, arrived in Mogadishu despite a request from the government that they try to form a “unified” position with the president and prime minister first.
