Gunmen ambushed a bus carrying 33 passengers in southern Sudan on Sunday, killing 11 people and wounding 14, the U.N. spokeswoman in Sudan said on Thursday. The bus was attacked on October 29 on the road between Juba, the capital of southern Sudan, and the town of Torit, about 110 km (70 miles) to the east, said spokeswoman Radhia Achouri. “We got the confirmation from local police. … Eight people are also missing,” she told Reuters by telephone.
