Congo government welcomes U.S. sanctions

Congo’s government on Wednesday welcomed a decision by the United States to impose sanctions on seven warlords and businessmen who are accused of fueling instability in this vast country’s lawless east. Meanwhile, a revote in the northeast town of Fataki was postponed for a day to allow more time to organize it, electoral officials said.
