A Moroccan man accused of ties to two men involved in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks has been convicted for his role in a bomb plot on the Indian Ocean island of La Reunion. A Paris criminal court sentenced Karim Mehdi, 37, to nine years in prison and ordered him expelled from France after serving his sentence. Mehdi, who pleaded innocent, was accused of planning to travel to La Reunion, off southeastern Africa, for a possible attack against a tourism complex. Full Story
