Nine soldiers detained for their alleged involvement in a failed mutiny against Philippine President Gloria Arroyo in 2003 have been freed due to insufficent evidence. The nine, all members of the elite Scout Rangers, were released on the recommendation of a special military board that concluded there was not enough evidence to show they took part in the mutiny, army spokesman Major Rolly Dumawa said.
