Tropical Storm Paul spun away from Mexico’s west coast Sunday, but forecasters predicted it could become a hurricane and turn toward land within two days. Early Sunday, Paul was hovering over the Pacific Ocean about 370 miles south-southwest of the central coastal town of Puerto Vallarta and 450 miles south of the tip of the Baja California Peninsula, said Dan Mundell, a meteorologist with the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
