US President George W. Bush said yesterday he opposed dividing Iraq into Kurdish, Shia and Sunni regions because such a move would create more chaos for the Middle East country. The comments follow weeks of speculation that the White House is preparing for a change of course in Iraq after it receives the recommendations of an independent commission headed by former secretary of state James Baker reviewing Iraq policy for the administration.
