The Security Council said Monday it was willing to send a diplomatic mission to Afghanistan to show its commitment to the country and review the worsening security situation there. Japan’s Ambassador Kenzo Oshima said he was tentatively planning a visit by diplomats from several of the Security Council’s 15 members sometime in November.
