Govt to double security forces along Bhutan border

The government will more than double its security forces along the border with Bhutan to prevent insurgent groups from crossing over to the Himalayan kingdom and rebuilding their destroyed bases, an official said on Tuesday. The number of personnel deployed along the border would be increased to about 12,000 from 5,000 in a phased manner by next year, said B.S. Lalli, a senior home (interior) ministry official.
