Nine tanks have rolled back into Bangkok’s Royal Plaza, one day after they had pulled out, as the military said it was redeploying forces around the city after last week’s coup. The move came as the head of Thailand’s post-coup anti-graft body said before the commission’s first meeting that investigations would focus on alleged corruption by the country’s ousted political elite. On Sunday up to 10 tanks had left the plaza, where they had been stationed near the king’s residence and major government offices since the military seized power late Tuesday. Full Story
