The embattled Hungarian Prime Minister, Ferenc Gyurcsány, tried yesterday to regain the political initiative by accusing the mainstream opposition party Fidesz of working with the radical Right during the week of protests that have plunged the country into crisis. He told a campaign meeting: “Nowhere in Europe would the parties of the Centre Left and Centre Right think about joining the agenda of their own radicals.
