Malaysia has stepped up vigilance along its border with Thailand in a precautionary move to deter any refugees seeking shelter from a military coup in its neighbour, state news agency Bernama said on Saturday. The Thai military overthrew the democratically elected government of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra on Tuesday but have pledged to pick an interim leader within two weeks to oversee political reforms and eventual elections.
