More than 10,000 protestors calling on the Hungarian government to resign demonstrated for a second night, but embattled Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany defiantly vowed to stay and see through tough economic reforms. Potestors waving Hungarian flags outside the parliament building demanded Gyurcsany’s resignation after he admitted to having lied about the dire state of the economy to win re-election in April.
