Indonesian president hopes papal apology will end outcry
Indonesia’s president is hopeful that Pope Benedict XVI’s apology over his remarks linking Islam with violence will end a global outcry among Muslims, a report has said. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, president of the world’s most populous Muslim nation, said in Cuba that following the pope’s apology, “hopefully there will be a good end to this problem,” the Detikcom online news agency said.
