Peace negotiations are set to resume between the Burundian government and rebels of the FNL (National Liberation Forces) on September 7 in Dar es Salaam, in Tanzania, in occasion of a regional summit of Heads of State and governments of the Great Lakes region. The announcement was made by the spokesperson for the United Nations mission in Burundi, Amadou Ousmane. The sides will formally sign a cease-fire agreement in front of the African leaders, after the accord reached on July 29. Full Story
