Hizbullah gave a small boost to the languishing Lebanese economy when it dispensed tens of millions of US dollars to the displaced people of the South and Beirut’s southern suburbs, economists and bankers said on Tuesday. “This move by Hizbullah will surely relieve the economy to some extent and will probably have a very small impact on inflation,” economist Marwan Iskander told The Daily Star.
